Job Description
The Software Developer will be responsible for assisting the Director of IT Communications and other staff members in developing the corporate software necessary for production. Must have strong logical and analytical skills.
Requirements
Technical Requirements
Develop & integrate customized software using JavaScript and PHP, including websites on Apache & IIS
Build queries and create stored procedures using Transact SQL
Utilize design methodologies, object-oriented design and design patterns
Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancement of applications
Minimum Requirements
Instructor-Led training (focus on programming) with minimum 1 year experience in both Object-Oriented JavaScript and MS SQL or MySQL development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well independently or within a team
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to determine unique and creative solutions to problems within a rapid development environment
Experience in web interface development (PHP, HTML, JavaScript)
Experience with web application usability, UI design and testing
Experience in building forms with dynamically driven information
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and software
Preferred Requirements
BS in Computer Science (or related field)
Experience developing UI on both Windows and Macintosh Operating Systems
Experience developing web applications in JSP and/or ASP
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 databases
Knowledge of AppleScript
Knowledge of Flash/ActionScript
Knowledge of AJAX
